- Our philosophy is based on two main components, play and the Montessori Philosophy. Through the Montessori philosophy, it is believed that the child has an absorbent mind which enables them to absorb an immense amount of information during their first six years. We encourage this by providing the children with materials that refine the senses and develop cognitive skills such as thinking, judging, associating, and comparing.
- The appeal of play is the joy that it brings to us. Through play, children develop the cognitive, social, physical, and emotional skills. We also believe the caring, responsive relationships between our educators, children, and families create learning environments that foster a sense of belonging, provide rich opportunity for play, and cultivate each child’s competence, capacity, and potential. Children learn through play, whether it is lively, quiet, and absorbing, we see the connection between children’s play that is freely chosen, enjoyable, and active, – and the learning and social development that helps them to succeed in life.
- We believe that parent involvement is essential to the provision of childcare, and that the partnership between parents and staff is important to the development of each child. Parents are encouraged to visit and to participate in programs and attend special events.
- Our goal is to keep things simple and intimate and to provide your child good role models and positive influence. We are here to earn trust and love and to form a bond with your growing child.
